DIY COUTURE DRESS SEWING TUTORIAL

This video is a step by step guide on  how to make a couture dress.

DIY DRESS FOR GIRLS

Materials:

-  Paper

-  Scisor

-  Pencil

-  Fabric

-  Sewing pins

-  Thread 

-  Needle

-  A sewing machine

-  Iron

Instructions:

-  Cut the pattern.  This one is for a 4 years old / Este es para una niña de 4 años.

-  Fold the fabrics together.

-  Cut leaving 1 or 2 cms extra for the sewing and this way we get two identical pieces for the front.

-  Repeat process using the same pattern to get two identical pieces for the back.

-  Sew one of each pair of pieces together.  One of the sewed group will be the outer side, the other one the inner side.

-  Sew outer and inner side together.

-  Flip out your work and iron it.

-  Cut two strips about 35X7cm long for the neck and sew it.

-  Flip out the work so that the seam is hidden between the two groups of pieces.

-  Now sew each side under the sleeves.

-  Make another strip about 70cm long for the waist and sew it.

-  Cut the fabric for the skirt. Add another piece for the bottom to give more volume.  Sew attaching it to the top

-  Sew the back and add a zipper.

-  Sew the edge of the skirt.

-  Make a ribbon or bow in your own style.

COMO HACER VESTIDO PARA NIÑA

Materiales:

-  Papel
-  Lápiz
-  Tijeras
-  Tela
-  Hilo 
-  Aguja
-  Maquina de coser
- Plancha

Instrucciones:

-  Cortar el patron.  Este es para una niña de 4 

-  Doblar las telas juntas.

-  Cortar dejando 1 o 2 cms extras Para la costura.  De esta manera obtenemos dos piezas idénticos para el frente

-  Repetir proceso usando el mismo patrón para obtener dos piezas idénticas para la espalda

  

-  Coser una de cada par de las piezas juntas.  Uno de los grupos cosidos será el lado externo, el otro será el interno.

-  Coser lado externo e interno juntos.

-  voltear costura y planchar.

-  Cortar dos tiras alrededor de 35X7cm de largo para el cuello 

y coserlo.

-  Voltear el trabajo de tal modo que la costura quede escondida entre los dos grupos de piezas. 

-  Coser cada lado bajo las mangas. 

-  Hacer otra tira alrededor de 70cm de largo para la cintura y coserlo.

-  Cortar la tela para la falda. Agregar otra pieza extra de fondo para darle más volumen. 

-  Coser falda adicionándola a la parte superior.
-  Coser y Agregar cremallera en la parte de atras.

-  Coser el borde de la falda.

-  Hacer un cintilo o moño a tu propio estilo.

COMO COSER VESTIDO PARA NIÑA

Materiales:

-  Papel

-  Lápiz

-  Tijeras

-  Tela

-  Hilo 

-  Aguja

-  Maquina de coser

Instrucciones:

-  Cortar el patron. Este es para una niña de 4 años.

-  Para la parte superior doblar la tela dos veces

-  Cortar dejando 1 o 2 cms extras Para la costura.  De esta manera obtenemos dos piezas idénticos para el frente

-  Repetir proceso usando el mismo patrón para obtener dos piezas idénticas para la espalda

-  Coser una de cada par de las piezas juntas 

- Uno de los grupos cosidos será el lado externo, el otro será el interno 

-  Coser lado externo e interno juntos  

- Voltear el trabajo de tal modo que la costura quede escondida entre los dos grupos de piezas

-  Ahora coser cada lado bajo las mangas

-  Cortar la tela para la falsa. También puede agregar otra pieza extra de fondo para darle más volumen.

-  Coser la falda adicionándola a la parte superior

-  Hacer los ojales y agregar los botones

-  Coser el borde de la falda

-  Haz un cintilo a tu propio estilo

-  Listo

DIY DRESS FOR LITTLE GIRL

Materials:

-  Paper

-  Scisor

-  Pencil

-  Fabric

-  Sewing pins

-  Thread 

-  Needle

-  A sewing machine
-  Iron

Instructions:

-  Cut the pattern. This one is for a 4 years old / Este es para una niña 

-  For the top fold the fabric twice.

-  Cut leaving 1 or 2 cms extra for the sewing.  And this way we get two identical pieces for the front.

-  Repeat process using the same pattern.

-  To get two identical pieces for the back.

-  Sew one of each pair of pieces together.  One of the sewed group will be the outer side, the other one the inner side.

-  Sew outer and inner side together.

-  Flip out the work so that the seam is hidden between the two groups of pieces

-  Now sew each side under the sleeves.

-  Cut the fabric for the skirt. You can also add another double piece for the bottom to give more volume.

-  Sew skirt attaching it to the top.

-  Make the bottom holes and attach the bottoms.

-  Sew the edge of the skirt.

-  Make a ribbon or bow in your own style.

Done.

DIY SILK SLIP DRESS

MATERIALS

-  One of your dresses as pattern

-  Silk fabric, paper for mold

-  Scissors

-  Measuring tape

-  Bead needle positioning pins

-  Sewing machine

INSTRUCTIONS

-  Cut out the mold of the dress on paper (you can use a dress as guide)

-  Fold fabric to cut frontal piece 

-  Cut the fabric with a 2-3 cm extra edge for the sewing 

-  Repeat process with the back piece 

 -  Cut also two pieces for the stripes of the dress 

-  Use the pins to put pieces together for sewing

-  Remember to face both sides of the fabric correctly as silk has  different textures in each side. If your machine doesn't do overcast try zigzag stich and the straight stitch next to it.

-  Reverse out the dress after sewing it and so the stripes

-  Sew the edges of the dress with straight stitch

-  Add the stripes

MODIFICATION

-  Cut your dress according to the measure of your hips and thighs

-  Make a cut in the edges at 15 cm from the bottom side of the dress on both sides

-  Sew the upper side together

-  Sew the other part separately as in the edge

COMO HACER VESTIDO DE TIRAS SEDA O SATIN

MATERIALES 

-  Uno de tus vestidos como patrón

-  Tela satin, papel para molde

-  Tijeras

-  Cinta métrica

- Alfileres

-  Maquina de coser

-  Hilo 

-  Aguja.

INSTRUCCIONES

-  Cortar el molde del vestido en papel (puedes usar un vestido como guía)

-  Doblar tela para cortar pieza frontal  

-  Cortar la tela con 2-3 cm extra para la costura

-  Repetir proceso con la pieza trasera

-  Cortar también dos piezas para las tiras del vestido 

-  Usar los alfileres para juntar las piezas para la costura

-  Recuerda juntar ambos lados de la tela correctamente ya que satin tiene diferentes texturas en cada lado.  Si tu máquina no hace fileteado usa costura  zigzag y costura derecha junto a esta.

-  Voltear el vestido después de coserlo y así mismo las tiras.

-  Coser los bordes del vestido con costura derecha 

-  Agregar las tiras

-  Listo

MODIFICACIÓN 

-  Cortar el vestido de acuerdo a la medida de tus caderas y muslos.

-  Hacer un corte en el borde del vestido a 15 cm de la parte de abajo en ambos lados

-  Coser la parte superior junto

-  Coser la otra parte separadamente como en los bordes  

-  Listo
