MATERIALS
- One of your dresses as pattern
- Silk fabric, paper for mold
- Scissors
- Measuring tape
- Bead needle positioning pins
- Sewing machine
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut out the mold of the dress on paper (you can use a dress as guide)
- Fold fabric to cut frontal piece
- Cut the fabric with a 2-3 cm extra edge for the sewing
- Repeat process with the back piece
- Cut also two pieces for the stripes of the dress
- Use the pins to put pieces together for sewing
- Remember to face both sides of the fabric correctly as silk has different textures in each side. If your machine doesn't do overcast try zigzag stich and the straight stitch next to it.
- Reverse out the dress after sewing it and so the stripes
- Sew the edges of the dress with straight stitch
- Add the stripes
Ready
MODIFICATION
- Cut your dress according to the measure of your hips and thighs
- Make a cut in the edges at 15 cm from the bottom side of the dress on both sides
- Sew the upper side together
- Sew the other part separately as in the edge
- Ready
